In the summer of 2012, my cousin had gotten married, and it was the most beautiful two-week long event. The wedding celebration was held in Jbeil, Lebanon and the post-celebration was held in Amorgos, Greece. It is one of the last islands and took us 12 hours by boat to get there. Amorgos is not a very large island, which means there weren’t a lot of tourists. Just the way I like things. I got to enjoy the peacefulness with my family. We rented a car and drove all over to explore. And just driving around showed me that I will have to visit again.
ATHENS
The following group of pictures were taken the first and last day we were in Greece. We had lunch and explored Athens a bit before the boat left to Amorgos. And then we spent one extra day in Athens at the end of our trip to explore some more.

AMORGOS
This next section is a collection of photos from different places on the island. Most were taken the day we just drove around and explored. While a few others were taken during events we were at.

PEOPLE & FOOD
My family being on this trip was one of the best parts. We hadn’t taken a family vacation in a very long time and it was great that my parents got to enjoy it. One of my dad’s favorite things was being able to get a gyro where ever he went. We also celebrated my sister and my aunts birthday while we were on the island. Their birthday is always special because they not only share the same day but the same name. It’s always fun when they are in the same room and someone calls out their name.
