A Court of Wings and Ruin

This has so far been my favorite book of the series. It gutted me with so much emotion. I was not prepared for part 3. And chapters 75 and 76 had me sobbing. Now I am starting to feel like the hype is real. I can’t wait to finish the series.

A Court of Mist and Fury

This was great. It had the action that I was waiting for, It showed me Feyra’s strenght. It reminded me not to judge a book (Rhysand) by it cover. And that things are not always what they seem.

A Court of Thorns and Roses

This was a good opener to the series. It however did not live up to the crazy hype I was seeing everywhere. I enjoyed it, but definitely wasn’t cult amazing.

The Kingdom of Sweets

This dark and stunning twist on The Nutcracker left me searching for words. The Fairy Queen, a demonic embodiment of human darkness, eclipses the Rat King. The powerful portrayal of sisterly connection, which I understand intimately, intensifies the stakes. The Kingdom of Sweets is unequivocally the best reimagining I’ve read.
